Thanks ikeyPikey. I just could not get that link to work for me.
The ice was 2 feet thick on the lake that day. You just wear your long johns, sunglasses, and yak-tracks and enjoy the music as the kites fly against the bright blue sky. It is not cold when you dress warm.

I drove up to Clear Lake, Iowa a few Saturdays ago to the "Color The Wind" Kite Festival to watch the kites fly on the frozen lake. After a couple hours of watching the spectacle, I walked downtown for lunch, and then stopped in the antiques store. I found this postcard mailed from Caernarvon, Wales, UK to Forest City, Iowa, USA postmarked 20 Sept 1948. I know this forum has discussed the long names of Wales before, so I thought you might enjoy this card. It was a beautiful day to be alive! (check out the link below)
