I paid for a similar stamp on the web under closer inspection it appeared smaller and when i received it there was a word in title Nive from what i understand that discribes the stamp makes it ok to sell. I complained about the false illustration. With no responce.

I recently acquired these with a lined pair. thanks for the response,quite a few in the collection.maybe they deserve a little closer inspection,the majority of the stamps had condition issues,sad thing some very interesting stamps involved.thanks again, good day.

It would be helpful, and more educational to those posting questions such as this if the poster would provide what makes them believe that the stamps could be genuine or fake, or whatever. That way others know that the poster has done some homework, and those wanting to respond can provide information either confirming or not confirming what the poster thinks and provide a reason why without trying to guess what really is the question.
In this example, the answer to the question is, "Yes". Of course it's possible that the stamp is genuine. So, RLC, why did you have doubts that the stamp may not be genuine? This is what I am trying to relate by this example.

My reason for having this concern.I answered a Craigslist ad, stamps for sale,the stamps were over 100 miles away.I got in touch with the seller asked him if he would consider shipping,he said he would deliver the stamps ,We meet in a grocery store lot .The stamps were crammed in this round duffel bag, he had glued some stamps to these tri fold boards
and used a laminating machine for some of the others. the rest were in taped up bags, serious condition issues. no disrespect intended. my apologizes, thanks good day.

No apologies necessary. I used your inquiry as an example and a request that people who ask for the ID of a stamp, or genuineness thereof please tell us why they think it is or isn't.
In the case with the stamp of your post, for example, often the question of the stamp being genuine concerns the rectangular holes. "Are those normal, privately applied, fake, should the stamp be imperf?" That information helps us quickly find the answer for you without spending a large amount of time researching what may or may not be the actual information desired. Remember, you are asking for verification of a stamp for no charge, so help is especially appreciated.
The responses provided not only help the one asking, but everyone else who reads it.

Here's a strip of your Shermack Type 3 stamp. This is the most common of the private perfs on the 314 Ben Franklin stamp, and in my estimation the only private perforation that was actually in commercial use in this stamps reign through 1909.
Your stamps are from the later Washington / Franklin series.
