Yes - interesting piece, Mel!

I like her style of making her article into an art form

to highlight a form of art.

Call me old fashioned or behind the times but I find it irritating to be given information in this form, having to scroll down to view the next bit of kindergarten style writing.

Sheepshank, perhaps we can agree that positive things that bring attention to our hobby in the long run benefits the hobby. I'm about as old fashioned as one can get without being dead, and I found Musicman & MBO to be on target for me personally.
Best,
Dan C.

In the print version of the Times, it's a single, very large "comic" panel. So, no scrolling.

Quite agree that anything that bolsters our hobby is good, just for me not the way to present the knowledge.

Wwll, my droogies, I'll bite the silver bullet,
so to speak; I was quite impressed with what
appeared to be the effort of precocious nine year old.
And completely surprised by the "April Fool's jape
of a supposedly experienced columnist.
I trust the NYT has some demographicc data about its
pre-teen readership and they are so excited they
immediately put their infernal electronic gadgetry
on charge long enough to go to one of the few remaining
stamp shops functioning and meet the almost ancient keeper
of the hinges.
After all I have tried several other ways to engage
the interest of youngsters with little apparent success.
