re: Kangaroo one penny stamp

Hi Pooh

The line may have been a scratch from being handled in postage and many years in someone's collection, or some flaw in the design process.

Literally thousands of flaws occurred in the KGV era and hundreds of flaws in the KGVI era; too many from both eras for any catalogue to keep track of, and as many minor flaws have been detected by collectors (flyspecking), they are not of any philatelic value, though they are of philatelic interest to those that are interested in collecting such flaws.

Could you post the full stamp as two types were printed, KGV and the redrawn 1946 design of the KGVI era.

Hi Pooh

First of all you need to establish whether it is die one or two

Also most importantly, what sort of watermark does it have

by this I mean refer to the scan I have attached.
Then let me know whether it is inverted or upright.
