The pre-decimal QEII regnal series is about 90% complete and it is truly a colourful series of stamps, there are many varieties around, many can be obtained very cheaply, or can be found through scouring your private collection, even an inherited collection may yield many minor varieties.

But there are varieties that are rare and to find them in an inherited collection will not occur unless the person who previously owned that collection was specialising in rare stamps or very lucky to find one.

The regnal series shown are from 1953-1965, including major varieties, various shades and overprints.

Helecon ink was introduced in 1965.

re: The Collection of QEII 1953-65

Hi Rob

I will have to be more fastidious and organize my MNH stamps in the order that you are showing them.

It is nice to see that Gibbons has finally decided to include 338a with the used example of the variety listed.

I posted them an email with a picture of the copy I have in used condition about two years ago, and they said they would include it in the next edition.
I purchased my copy today

The prices on some stamps has really taken off.

Regards

Hi Horamakhet

In the order I have my stamps it makes it easier for me to know what is missing as all the stamps are in ACSC order. It also makes cataloguing the collection much easier.

Isn't 338a the 1960 5d Christmas stamp with re-entry, it is mentioned in the 2015 edition of SG but it has no example of a used stamp.

Would like to see it one day.

I noticed that many of my stamps have increased in value.

Hi JR

It took many years getting it this far and many hours putting all the stamps in order of issue, at the end the result is worth the time.

The stamp issues is nearly complete in the pre-decimal and 1966 series, there are still many major varieties to collect.
