I did find a reference in Stanley Gibbons but there is no image 1945 J9 ?

Scott started listing these stamps a few years ago. It could be that your catalog is too old.
It is listed under the Revolutionary Issues for Indonesia for Java. It is Scott #1L11. With a warning that forgeries exist, even though it is a common stamp.

Just checked my scott's and it says that 1L11 is an overprinted Netherland Indies stamp not a Japanese occupation stamp?

I think they mean the stamps were issued when it was the Netherlands Indies. The Scott Image Number for the 1L11 is "OS6". That refers back to the occupation issue. Is the listing information technically correct? Probably. Is it accurate? Probably not. It's just another of my long list of things to fix when I buy Scott.

If it was a bettet image I think you would be able to see the Japanese inscription .I just checked back and came up with the same conclusion you did .

I am having a problem with this stamp I can not find any reference in Scott's to the overprinted stamps of the Japanese occupation ,overprinted Reopublik Indonesia .
