Welcome !!
Welcome aboard, Will!
Welcome to Stamporama!
I spent two summers in Venezuela back around 1970. My sister lived there for eight years.
Thanks, everyone!
Philatelia, awesome... Right when Venezuela was at its peak!
Will, Great to hear from you, it's been many years since the old Ebay Chat! Nice to hear you've move to the states, I hope you are enjoying Florida, it's one of our nicest states and quite different from any other.
I've been continuing my world collection but growth has been very slow lately. South America remains to be a main focus but most countries are nearly complete. I've added C78 to Venezuela this past week leaving me with only 5 regular issues thru 1970 and 2 airs thru 1960. Colombia is one of the hardest countries to collect and is my weakest SA country with many still missing from my collection. I did although add a very nice J2 to my collection this last weekend. They only issued 3 Postage dues but they are among my favorite dues in the world.
I do hope you will continue to post!
Mitchell
Welcome aboard Will. Good to have you with us.
Regards ... Tim.
Thanks, folks!
Antonius: It's Marietta, Georgia. But I agree! Florida is awesome (except its traffic, to be honest ).
I dread Atlanta traffic!
That's why I live in Marietta!

I don't know. I've known about StampoRama for years... and never signed up.
Anyway... Hey folks! Glad I finally signed up. My name is Will Castillo, born and raised in Venezuela, living in Atlanta, USA, for the last eight years. Still struggling with the language so please, forgive in advance the many mistakes I'll be making here. Had I collected my own errors, I'd had the largest collection of errors in the world! Hey! A collection's a collection!
Ok... A recent event changed -for the good- my collecting interests. First of all, I'm a specialized collector of the ESCUELAS stamps from Venezuela (first three series). I also collect Venezuelan locals up to 1903 and a few venezuelan classics as well (not all of them.) Finally, I collect venezuelan cinderellas (they have a special place in my heart.) While living here, I started to collect US christmas labels as well, trying (to no avail so far, and with little to none good expectations for the future) to pull my kids into the hobby.
I recently acquired a Colombia collection and I've been having so much fun since then! What a interesting and beautiful pieces of papers are those stamps! I am still cleaning it up though, because I have a chronic allergy to fakes and forgeries. I'm learning as much as I can about Colombia stamps so expect a bunch of questions about it.
All right... Nice to e-meet y'all,
Will
