Forgot how much I love that song. Fred Turner's voice - perfectly suited to it.
I 'met' Randy Bachmann once in the mid 1980s. I was going to university in Winnipeg, and was out with a friend of mine. We're walking down a residential street close to his home and who's coming the other way but Randy Bachmann. Turns out this was his old neighbourhood and my friend knew the Bachmann family.
My friend - "Hi, Randy. How's it going?"
Randy - " Hey, Chris. How you guys doing?"
Me. " .............." (gobsmacked)
Thus endeth my brush with the famous

Ahh...Rowan Atkinson.
I only know him as Mr. Bean.
I just picked up the complete series "The Two Ronnies" on DVD - there's a great British comedy with some incredible guest stars. Also watched some of the Frost Report on YouTube the other day - more great British comment. I also have a VHS tape of "Bill and Ben, the Flower Pot Men". My wife grew up in Newfoundland and they got a lot of early British kids programming in the late 1950's. I wonder if I'm bringing back any memories, possibly not good ones. Then we have Dial 999, Z Cars, The Minder, etc.
Yes, sadly I remember Bill and Ben the flower pot men.
