The smaller Machins work fine in a 24mm mount but do not think there is any precut mounts. You would need to get strips.
Hi Angore,
I'm a real Newbie, so another question or two is please.
What would the other measurement be to the 24mm?
And could you recommend a stamp mount brand that you like?
Thank you!
JR
JR, the 24mm is the height of the mount, with a strip you cut to length as required. This size is good for small or large Machins.
If you are going to also collect mint security self adhesives then you will need a 31mm mount, again cut to length.
For used security Machins on paper it will depend on the edge you leave around the stamp.
If you do not want to cut the strips (they are cheaper to buy) then Subway sell pre-cut mounts.

Hi Sheepshanks,
Okay so the 21/24 seem like they'd work?
Thanks,

TYou may find this easier than the previous link. With the link below, you can also print a stamp mount scale to easily measure stamps.

Hi guys,
Thanks a lot for the videos on how to properly mount stamps.
I have mounted a few in the past, as my collecting started to take off, but soon I will be mounting a lot.
Thank you!

Hi all,
A Machin mounting question to all you "Machin-Experts" out there!
I'm just starting to fill my "Machins Basic" album (downloaded from internet and professionally printed) and was wondering what are the appropriate mount sizes for:
* Small Pre-Decimal Machins
* Large Pre-Decimal Machins
* Small Decimal Machins
* Large Decimal Machins
I REALLY appreciate your help! I'm not too concerned what brand of mount you recommend, but if there is a "better" mount, I'll go with that one. The Showgard 22/25 mounts I have seem just a smidge too big for the Small Pre-Decimal/Decimal machins to "look right" in my album, but they could work, if I trim the mount a bit.
But I'd rather get just the right thing.
Thanks in advance!
JR
