Happens all the time because they hide certain items for a period of time, because there are too many items to completely review, because people do not know how to write titles so you can find what you are looking for, etc.
I find sold items that went for pennies on the dollar all the time - it's frustrating. I used to always be able to nail a couple of items a day that I could turn for worthwhile money - no longer worth the time - too hard to find. I do much better at shows.

Have you tried saving a search for elusive items? I’ve managed to catch a few good deals using that tool.

Why is it that you can look on E-Bay for a certain item and find everything is either junk, over priced or both and then you find the perfect item in the sold items that you missed by a day?
