I'm afraid that I can't help with your quest, but I'd like to note that the label at the left is "interesting": It prominently shows the the Pander S-4 Postjager airplane, a 1930s Dutch trimotor mailplane which could not possibly have been used in aerial seige of Malta. The Postjager was designed and built by Pander & Son, and only one was built. It was destroyed during the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race.
My Vanpex 2008 exhibit, about the MacRobertson Air Race and the subsequent crash of the first place winner in the handicap division, the DC-2 Uiver, flown by KLM, included two sheets about the Panderjager. Here they are:
It would be interesting to know how the Postjager ended up on that issue.

Bob, I fear you may be mistaken. I think the pictured aircraft is a Savoia-Marchetti SM79 of the Italian airforce
Still waiting for my favorite Yalta stamp to be issued.
Cheers,

Who is the attractive blonde lady sitting next to Winston Churchill with the microphone in her hand?
The Republic of Guinea July 16 2001 issued a 7 stamp set entitled Millennium Accomplishments.Scott has seen the stamp apparently or at least authorized numbers to the set which I always thought made it an legitimate issue Scott 2217-2223. I have been looking for a number of years for it canvasing countless new stamp dealers to no avail.I have the # 2221 which pictures Churchill Stalin & Roosevelt at the Yalta Conference on numerous WWII event covers but never been able to find the set.Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.I have added a scan of the Churchill item in the set.
