Received an interesting Stamp? which I believe to be a pure Cinderella. The Isle of Stroma is located just North of Scotland and was privately owned up until 2019. I was wondering if there are other stamps issued. Any comments would be appreciated.

re: Isle of Stroma

Many of the little islands around Scotland have issued several Cinderellas. They are/were sold as souvenirs to visitors to the nature preserves on the islands.

Thank you for mentioning my site!

I didn't know about Stamporama before, so I am glad to have found it.

Thanks for the clarification, moderator. My previous reply doesn't make much sense now that the post it was referring to has gone Happy

On the issue of Stroma, it's not one of the GB islands that all that much is known about its local stamps, but what I write on my site is as follows:

"Background information on the 1960s labels that bear the island’s name is reasonably hard to come by. However, the island’s abandonment by its last permanent residents, in 1962, suggests that its stamps were produced for collectors rather than as part of any genuine local postal service."

Stamps seem to have been issued from around 1962 to 1969.

Hope that helps!
