with the picture of the Australian Terrier, keep the color, add a little bit of Corgi traits and you have a match for my dog!
Do you have a fondness for Airedales? My grandmother had one. He was super hyper!
My own personal preference is for Border Collies and I have always liked the look of Bedlington Terriers ( once called snap dogs as they had been trained to take the local miners "snap" (lunch ) to them. The local soccer team at Bedlington ( Northumbria ) are called the "Terriers".
Airedales are a rarity nowadays in Great Britain....they were most popular in the 1930,s.
Saw a brace in Melrose ( Scottish Borders ) recently and had to stop and have a chat with the owner.
Airedales were originally called Bingley Water dogs after the area they originated from.
Best wishes,
Brian.
Probably one of my favourite sets....French, 1930's and a stunning set.
Hope you enjoy looking.
Best wishes,
Brian.

Very nice Roy and I especially like the entire to Canada with the hand drawn bulldog.
Here are 3 more Bulldogs with a "patriotic" theme?
Best wishes,
Brian.
Love ALL of these - please keep them coming!
Have lots more but will just show 3 more Bulldog items and a somewhat unusual photographic image used on a postcard.
The 1st image is of 9 stamp / labels.
Somebody must love them!
Another patriotic...dog at left is supposed to be a Borzoi.
And last, for this post, but not least is this one....
Best wishes,
Brian.
This very nice photographic postcard is part of a series used to advertise Genoline and sent to Doctors in France in the late 1950's and early 60's. Nice picture on front more likely to read the back?
Best wishes,
Brian.
On request here is a very well produced set of labels.
Best wishes,
Brian.

Hello,
on the theme of "what else do you collect apart from stamps" I just thought you might like to see some of the wide diversity of cards, stamps ( labels in most cases ), postcards etc that have been issued picturing dogs....mainly the cards etc were issued as premiums to go with the purchase of cigarettes, foodstuffs, petrol etc.
My wife and I have one of the largest collections of paper ephemera relating to dogs and here are a few scans of the A's and the B's.
Comments, questions etc all welcome.
Best wishes,
Brian.
