I finally took the time to go through most of these music posts. What a variety!
My usual background music is the 1960s and 1970s oldies/rock music along with select pieces from the 1980s. Less often, we listen to a fairly narrow range of classical selections.
Most people seem to know about this music, at least generally. So I am going to focus this post on some things that don’t seem to get as much attention on YouTube.
Around 1980, at a friend’s party, I first heard Mannheim Steamroller. Shortly thereafter, my wife’s cousin’s husband was in the music business and sent us five “new age” albums for Christmas. This was an eye-opening and memorable gift.
One of those five albums was by Jim Chappell. This first piece of music is his.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0vDhxSvfTo
Another of those albums was by Ray Lynch and it included “Celestial Soda Pop.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YtOWeAKTlo
I don’t know how to categorize this third piece. We first heard it in the movie “Finding Forrester” where Sean Connery was riding away on his bicycle, never to return. The song was also used in the movie “Badlands” and others.

I've spent over an hour trying to get the links to work. The leading link parameter repeatedly shows up in the text ahead of the URL and the closing link parameter shows up in the middle of the URL. I give up! Does anybody have a fix for this problem. See, the same thing is happening with the "Bold" function.

I'll try one more and see if this goes any better.
A few days ago, musicman mentioned Bowie and that reminded me of a music video a friend shared on Facebook two weeks ago. It was a song I had never heard, but learned that Queen and Bowie had performed it live a few years ago. The song is "Under Pressure." The version I heard on Facebook wasn't the full song, but was a better performance in my opinion. It was also a duet version, but it was Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show "Roots" band with Brendon Urie. I had never heard of Brendon Urie. We haven't watched The Tonight Show in recent years, but had seen similar performances with other personalities in years past. This one, though, has stayed with me. It is one of the most remarkable performances I've seen/heard recently.

OK. Go figure. This time, the link function worked as expected.

I find sometimes, especially with this site, and you tube, is to refresh the page, remove your cookies and even change browser.
I had cleared cookies, etc. not long before starting that first post. I also closed the browser after failing to get the links to work initially and then started over. That didn't help. I don't try to maintain an alternate browser. I prefer to keep life simple—and then reality intervenes from time to time........

re: Music of the Day
I finally took the time to go through most of these music posts.
The song was also used in the movie “Badlands” and others.

re: Music of the Day
I'll try one more and see if this goes any better.
It is one of the most remarkable performances I've seen/heard recently.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1ilvfdvrUI
OK. Go figure. This time, the link function worked as expected.

I had cleared cookies, etc. not long before starting that first post. I also closed the browser after failing to get the links to work initially and then started over. That didn't help. Tina;
ANYTHING by Tina is ALWAYS amazing!
Elton & George;
one of the best duets ever recorded live!
Luciano;
an amazing, talented voice....but I could never get into opera!
Opera and Hip-Hop - two types of music I am not a fan of.
To each his own.
