Is anyone else on here a bicycle tourist? For those not familiar, to me it means loading everything I need on my bicycle and leaving home for at least two days.

Sometimes I do motel trips in which case my load is rather light. Just a few tools repair items, clothes, toiletries and other essentials. I will be staying in motel at night and eating out of restaurants for the most part. To do this type of travel there must be both motels and restaurants readily available.

What I end up doing most of the time is bicycle camping. In addition to the previously listed items, I also carry my tent, sleeping bag, pillow, sleeping pad, cooking gear, stove, etc. The load gets quite a bit bigger, but it does give one the ultimate freedom to pretty much go almost anywhere.

If interested, I can get into how I became interested in this type of travel, where I have toured, etc.
