SPOTT (FELDPOST)KARTEN / RIDICULE (FIELDPOST)CARDS

These cards are unofficial ridicule cards. This was intended to put the field post at the service of propaganda. The ridicule fieldpostcards and fieldpost folded letters produced by the private side were in the Wehrmacht canteens as well as in paper goods shops for the price of 5 Rpfg. sold.
Chamberlain's participation in the policy towards Nazi-Germany in 1938 was instrumental in the Munchner Agreement.
The attitude in this regard and the initial failures in the Second World War, especially against the German occupation of Norway, forced Chamberlain to resign on May 10, 1940 (the first day of the western campaign). His successor was Winston Churchill.

The first sale of Chamberlain and Churchill ridicule cards was May 1, 1940. The Stalin ridicule postcards were only published at the beginning of the war in Russia.
The ridicule cards could only be sent postage-free as a fieldpostcard, which could be provided with private imprints.
Fieldpost folded letters were also made with the same motif.
Ridicule cards or ridicule letters could also be franked by private users and were thus carried by the Reichspost.
The cards and letters are listed in the Michel manual catalog Deutsche Feldpost 1937-1945.

Beware of forgeries: in the past few years, many field postmarks have fallen into the hands of private collectors. And it can be proven that these field postmarks have also been used to stamp these cards. Stamp counterfeiters have also improved their craft more and more
