A Philatelic friend sent me two packages of philatelic back issues on the same day, same post office (Mobile, AL USA). Once they left Mobile that departed ways. Package #1 arrived today and package #2 is sitting in Hattiesburg, MS distribution center. It makes me wonder why.
#1 has a run of Illinois Postal Historian & The Philatelic Foundation Bulletin.
Package # 2 will have a complete run of the "Penny Post"

Here is the tracking information for the 1st package

There were 60 "Greetings From" stamps and 1 1cents stamp. The marker monkeys had fun with this package. They were all cancelled neatly with an Mobile, AL hand stamp but there was a marker to completely obliterate the stamps to keep them from being reused. I don't think it was my local Post Office because I receive a lot of philatelic mail with lots of stamps that are not marked with a marker. The 1cents stamp escaped the marker though. I hope my next package arrives without the marker.

The bottom row last stamp was an effort to remove the marker with "Goof Off" but it removed all the ink from the stamp.
