Thank-you Cal and Happy Canada Day from the Nation's Capital. There is a profusion of Maple Leaf Flags and Union Jacks around the city. Nothing happening on Parliament Hill due to the pandemic, but a number of small gatherings across the Dominion.
To my fellow Canadians in Newfoundland, this is also Memorial Day. We remember, when you too were a Dominion, and your Regiment paid a terrible price at the Battle of The Somme, 1 July 1916. We salute you, and we are proud of you.
