Am usually a proponent of Bill Steiner’s “print as you go” album pages.

However, believe the page for Malaya’s 1922 - 32 “tiger” issues is
incomplete/incorrect. This date series includes stamps printed on
“ordinary” paper, “chalky” paper, and “unwatermarked” paper.

There are several Scott-listed issues without a corresponding spot
on the Steiner page. Instead there is an undated “Elephants and Howdah”
quartet of spots. Essentially a duplication/repeat from a few prior page entries.

If anyone sees this differently would be pleased to hear so.

re: Malaya: Tigers and Steiner pages

Steiner usually follows Scott groupings fairly religiously. Steiner can be hit or miss on including the minor varieties. In the 1922-32 group, I only see one MINOR variety in 2018 Scott Classic. I would suspect SG would list more.

The Elephant grouping is likely because Scott separates them in the catalohg. They are design A4 while the prior stamps are design A3.

I use Steiner and have had to redo pages to add varieties I want to include. I consider that a good thing.

Brian...

That is an impressive selection of tigers. Thanks for posting.

Will need to access the SG catalogue so that I can become more
knowledgeable re the potential varieties.
