However, experience says the odds are that it is J39 or J46 with only a bit of the watermark on the stamp. Sometimes only a smidgen of a line hits a particular stamp (see the illustration of the placement of the single and double line USPS watermarks in the Scott US specialized catalog (the illustration in the standard Scott is misleading).
