Any chance of an image of the stamps as I'm not recognising anything at present.
BOE is usually Board of Education.
This website has a lot of abbreviations but nothing that equates to BOEC.

It could of course be something as simple as Borough of Eastbourne Corporation or another place starting with E.

Aye an image would help in identification.
" .... Aye an image would help in identification....."
What and spoil the challenge ?
B.O.E.C. stands for Branch Office Eastern Central (postal district of London).
Ok the place is Aldermanbury, not Allermann. This is a district within London, near or possibly in the City of London.
I was thinking that the overprint was just that, not part of the postal franking. Thank you oldmanemu.
I have a number of King Edward VII and King George V stamps cancelled with B.O. E.C. and intriguing locations like ALLERMANN. I'm finding the cancellations more interesting than the stamps. Although I think I should know, what does B.O. E.C. stand for? I'm guessing "British Occupation ... ". Thank you.
