Am preparing an article for our club newsletter re the DR’s “Come Unto Me” series of postal tax stamps which first appeared in December1950. Scott RA 13.

Across the following 13 years this series grew to 10 issues including six redrawings as well as perforation and size varieties.

Internet research and review of the APS archives has revealed little re this interesting series. Lastly, there does not appear to be an active DR specialty group at present.

Would appreciate corresponding with any SOR member having knowledge of these stamps. Would also like to purchase examples (mint or used) of some of the stamps within this series:

RA 13b, RA 17, RA 19a, RA 26, RA 32, and RA 35a.

Thank you.

re: Dominican Republic

Normally, solicitations to buy/sell/trade are not permitted in the main Discussion Topics. However, since this relates to a research project, it will be permitted to remain here.

The actual full name for the issue is, "Suffer Little Children to Come Unto Me", with the tax going to child welfare programs.

I have all of the stamps, except for RA35a. I do not have any duplicates. If you are unable to locate the stamps, I can create scans of them if that will help you.
