"The stamp was not printed on ribbed paper"
actually it's an FDC. had it listed as #600. was getting ready to relist it and just happened to see the lines. Have in mind to cut the cover and soak for a #600i.. just came from eye exam Monday. The Doc says I have cataracts and will probably need surgery in a couple of years. Anyway, back to the stamp/ cover. As you can see scan doesn't show lines.
BTW: Roy, did you get your coin?
Cannot answer your ribbing question but here is s can of my 2003 Darnell catalogue.
A few varieties for you to find.
It took some fancy work with the camera and a flashlight at just the right angle, but I think I got it.
You should be able to see the shadows as a result of the "ribbing" in the paper.
Roy
Nice work, Roy.
totally different than what I see. could the wavy lines be tagging? Then again , FDC indicates #600 as untagged.
I have tried all kinds of ways with computer camera to get a pic of the wavy lines, can't get anything to show up. It's like those hologram stamps.
to be continued.
BTW: what does it mean about format tags can't be nested?

Hey! Is the ribbing on #600 wavy lines; larger waves going toward the right?
