Hello,

I'm interested in possibly selling post-WW 2 stamps for use as postage. I see some activity on Ebay, and found one company devoted to this which offers 40% or 50% (the name of that site is "sellunusedstamps.com"). Does anyone have advice on other sites which buy or facilitate the sale of stamps as postage?

I'm also wondering if collection buyers do this, and if so where?

Thanks for any advice.

Why not sell them on here? You should separate hinged from never hinged, put them in lots off generally like kind large enough to make postage cost worthwhile and pick a price level you are comfortable with.

For bulk lots, you can post discount postage lots in the classified ads. Many such lots are offered from time to time there.

AND they almost always sell out quickly, if priced to move.

I often see small denomination lick and stick going for 75% face value, denominated self-adhesive for 85% FV, and self-adhesive forever going for 95% of FV, after factoring in postage. I used to manage a small business and we would buy late 20th century stamps for 75% face and use them for mailers. Most of the time it just carried the mail, but occasionally it would be a conversation starter, especially when we tried to find a stamp relevant to the geographic area of the recipient.
