I have a 5 centimos stamp that is Scott image A49 that is printed on regular white paper rather than the standard bluish Winchester Security Paper. I believe that Scott only lists the 5 centimes violet stamp (with the 5 in a white hourglass shaped background) under #293.

Any opinions? I'm am posting a photo of both the normal security paper stamp and the stamp in question.

re: Venezuela Scott #293 On Non-Security Paper

Sometimes the security paper pattern is extremely faint. I have copies that range from so dark as to almost make the design illegible to so weak that it is almost nonexistent and impossible to see.

But you never know!
