Is it longer than 11.5" or taller than 6.125"? If so, they probably considered it a "flat," but of course that's not what the sticker says.
nope.. a generic 6x9 which we send out of our office every day. It will be an interesting explanation I am sure.
so update.... a clerical error. Took it in and showed the postmaster and he had no idea why it would have kicked back nor why they would have used that particular label. But he gave me two very nice marks to tie the stamp and label to the cover. A lil souvenir for me. I took the contents and remailed in exact same type envelope. Lets see if that one gets through.
I mailed this yesterday and received it back today. I live in a very small town so not sure if it made it to our regional hub or not. It contains a single envelope with 1 piece of paper which I am forwarding on to the addressee. None of the notifications apply so I will be curious tomorrow when I take it to post office to find out what is going on. I assure you I am going to have postmaster hit it with a post mark and keep it ! One for the collection but will be very curious to hear an explanation of why it was held.
If anyone has seen this before or may know what the deal is let me know.
