I collect Jersey and recently purchased a collection that has several covers with plate positions labeled so there must be enough variation to be able to ID the plate positions. The corners have a lot of differences - that section might be key.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Griggs, Ian. The 1942 Jersey 1/2d Arms: A Plating Study. Ilford: C.I.S.S. Publishing, 1982, 88p.
Beecken, Olaf. Eine Plattenstudie der Jersey 1d-Wappenmarke = A plating study of the Jersey 1d Arms. Koln: Forschungsgemeinschaft Kanalinseln & Insel Man (FGCI), 1986 68p.
Follow up - found the Griggs book in Spellman library and can check out through APRL. Cool!
