If you mean the sides, they're Phosphor Bands
Hi
I have looked at pictures of this stamp on line, and and it does not show a copy while the "bands"
If you look at the sides regardless of the phosphor, you should still be able to all the browns and greens

Unfortunately just fading probably due to sunlight or soaking too long, had a couple go like that myself, not worth anything at all but might be interesting as an oddity.
Hi
Martyn & Charle
Thanks for that, I am not familiar with the British stamps.
Much appreciated

" ... she purchased a collection of [red]old schoolboy[/red]

This really sends chills up and down my spine.
Hi cdj1122
The first thing I do is to remove all the stamps from old albums, because they were usually made of cheap paper in china. Luckily the stamp hinges were ready to fall off.
I hope that is what you mean by chills up and down your spine.

Remember, a missing color error, means that the missing color is not present anywhere on the stamp. If you think the stamp has a missing color brown, for example, and there is brown on the stamp, the color is not missing. The stamp in question here would fall more in the freak category at best.
Hi to all
My wife was in an opp shop, (thrift shop) and she purchased a collection of old schoolboy stamp albums from the 1960 to 1980's
I was sorting the stamps into various countries and then thematicising them.
The bottom stamp has missing colours, can anyone tell me anything about it.
I am aware that it has a crease
Regards
