Although the KGVI 3½d blue was originally issued in January 1942, this unlisted translucent variety was issued in 1951, although all thin papers of KGVI have a translucent appearance, this stamp was issued on regular paper with the same translucent appearance as thin paper, it is very scarce and is the only block of 8 of this variety appearing on the market to-date, especially in a gutter block of 8 with the “By Authority” imprint.
