I was out for breakfast at a local restaurant I go to regularly (If anyone knows Halifax, it's a little diner called The Esquire that's been there forever.) and when I was waiting for the waiter to take my money I was informed that another couple paid for me. There was no one I knew so it was a random act. I sometimes see this in Tim's or MacDonald's drive throughs, I've even done it myself a few times. People occasionally pay for the person behind them. This is the first for me at a restaurant. Has anyone else ever run into this before? It's a nice idea - something we should all do once in a while! Only in Canada, eh! Or does it happen elsewhere?
