General Philatelic/Gen. Discussion : Does anyone collect original Frankings?

I was looking through the Historical Articles that Kelly(stamps4me) compiled a few years back and came across quite an interesting article:

Franks and Franking - March 20 1869 (The American Journal of Philately)

I didn't realize that franking was originally the process whereby Senators, Congressman, Department Heads etc. would write their name in the top right hand corner of the envelop/parcel, along with their title and that would suffice for it to be sent through the mail.

So that raised the question in my mind, do any of you collect those old, handwritten frankings from the 1800's ? If you do I'd love to see some of them. That would be an incredible area to collect.
