I listed an item twice by mistake. Is there a way to delete one of the listings. If anyone can help please respond.-thanks

Yes there is. Go to the tab at the top of the Auction page marked 'Sellers'. Click on that and choose 'Edit/View Lots'. Then choose the lot that is a duplicate and open it.

There is a box near the bottom of the listing you can mark if you want the lot deleted.
