does anyone know where to find information on Canadian precancels? I have looked in my Unitrade, and in Scott (must go through Michel but have little hope) and could not find a thing... Is there a listing available somewhere? I have a few and I would like to know how many there are in total.
One simple question to start with: what does 4530 stand for?

I have a copy of (The Standard Canada Precancel catalogue 2000 I see another one on EBay.. Tis a great help for me as I am just beginning and sorting my collection ..... 4530 stands for the Toronto cancellation Some early cancels were city type and had the actual city and province on the stamp... Money order offices had a number or a combination of letters and numbers...eg.HALIFAX is X275 Hope this helps Cheryl
