Donna,
how nice to see you here in our little corner.
For those of you who haven't yet met Donna, she runs, ever so capably, Rhode Island's philatelic window, and, like at Alice's Restaurant, you can get anything you want. If you want current, or not exactly current, US stamps and PSEs, her site is well organized and even better illustrated and, best yet, she's there to see that you walk away with the stamps you want and with a smile. She's what's right with the USPS philatelic division. When I need new stamps, and my little PO (in Red Hook, staffed with wonderful people) doesn't have it, I see Donna. Sorry to go on and on, but I am, duhhhhh, one happy customer.

David, Donna is correct they are issued by the Emporium and you can find them on UK Flea bay.
They have been going since 2004 and there are quite a few issues a bit expensive especially if you are collecting sheets etc but I think they are very attractive and as I am a total Terry Pratchett fan [He wrote a book called going Postal from which these stamps are derived as well as taking in much of the Discworld's themes ie the country of Djellibabi and the guilds such as the Assasins and Thieves. There's also a stamp or it may be an information label from the Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons and Celestial personalities such as Anoia the goddess of things that get stuck in cutlery drawers. Great fun and I can thoroughly recommend Going Postal as great read and very funny too.
Just found out from a nice bloke at the Emporium that Sky have made a 2 part film of Going Postal which is the Pratchett book that the stamps are taken from. Sky have made 2 previous films of Pratchetts works and they are very good. Going Postal is being released in May. Definitely worth a look.
Have fun Tim.
If you have not read "Going Postal" by Terry Pratchett, I highly recommend it. Although it is part of a series, the novel stands very well on its own, especially considering it is a fantasy-genre story. It hilariously (and accurately) skewers philatelists, postal services, and everything in between!
I have been a fan of both Terry Pratchett and stamp collecting for a long time and had no idea that these two joys intertwined a little. Any chance these are still up for trade?
Eatmysox.
I wanted to trade to obtain them at the time not trade for any that I had. Suggest you look in the Discworld Emporium. The URL is in a previous post above.
All the best.
Tim.
