Hi Theresa,
If you want to change the Discussion Board password you can do that through the "Edit Profile" link on the left of the Discussion Board screen. If you want to change the Auction password, I have to do that for you at the moment, which I am very happy to do.
Tim:
Are you going to make this change in the auction site soon? I would like to be able to use my discussion board/membership ID & Password on the auction site, but I recall you had told me only the opposite was possible.
Bob
For some reason, I need a different password to access the new messages and I think my auction password and discussion password are different. Would someone kindly contact me to help me change my passwords? I don't see any way to make these changes myself.
Thank you!
Theresa
Theresa,
go into the member area, and you'll see the following screen

Search the member database

My Auction Won List
My Auction Sold List
Set Alternate Auction Username
Set Alternate Discussion Board Username
Members Help
Logoff
click on the third entry, CHANGE PASSWORD, it will be the third entry on the left column
you can update, then, so that all passwords for the three areas are the same; you can keep multiple user IDs.
hope this helps.
and while i'm the guy responding, remember it's Tim who devised and implemented this wonderful system.

Wow I must be blind! Thanks David!
I just tried this and it changed my auction AND discussion passwords. Thanks so much.
Theresa
Again - I must be BLIND! I never noticed the closed auction listing on the members page. What a fantastic source for keeping track of auctions won! Love it!
Would it be possible to add a link to this info right on the auction page? Thanks so much!
Theresa
your wish is our command. it's there. look at the auction page. there are 2 columns at the top. on the right column, you'll see
Show Categories
View Your Open Auctions (Buyers)
Post New Item
View Your Closed Auctions
All items closing 24 hours
All new items
Choose the 4th from the top or 3rd from the bottom and click on it. you'll need logon and password, and once in, you'll see everything for a given period. Tim periodically cleans this out, but it should be six months' worth or thereabouts

Gremlins abound!Flee for your lives!!
Dear All,
In the unlikely event that you are trying to get me, abandon hope! I've been done in through a Firefox upgrade that has eliminated my ability to get into the auction site, to download anything at all, to evem have a workable browser other than Internet Explorer. I've lost all my favorites, and can't even print out anything since I don't have the functions on top and I'm not computer hep enough to just input with keystrokes. Eventually I'll be up and running, but for now I've become a shadow, a non-entity, a wisp of fog rapidly dissapating. I'll post again when I can.
Dan
For some odd reason, I currently need to use different passwords for the auction and this discussion board. Could anyone help me to change this to just one password, or does everyone have two different passwords?
Thanks a bunch!
Theresa
