There are two options when using a "Click here for additional image" link in my auction item.
1. Open the image in a new window which still keeps the Stamporama window open. So now you have two broswer widows open. Then you need to close the new window after viewing the image.
2. Open the image in the same Stamporama window. Here you just need to use the 'back' feature in your browser and you don't have to worry about having two or three windows open. However, if you happen to close this window you of course just close your Stamporama window.
What do you think?

I'm going to speak from my experiences from when I designed websites, WAY BACK WHEN.
When designing a professional website, you never want to navigate away from your original page with pictures, or links to other websites. Having to hit the back button comes off looking unprofessional to someone who browses a lot. therefore, my experience has been to open in a new window for pictures and links to other websites.

the auction already has an easy way to list multiple images beyond the initial two; there's HTML code you can paste in and insert the image directly into the code. you stay in the auction (I agree with Pat) and make the process easier and reduce the chance to accidently close the auction

Just as a general thing, I have tried to stay away from using the BACK button in our Stamporama applications. It can actually cause problems in that you can lose control in where you are up to the whatever process you are working on. I haven't tried to turn the BACK button off, but I have a number of programs that are in place to automatically clean up BACK button messes.

Thanks for the feedback. I too felt that the images should be in a new window but wanted to see how others felt about it.
I'm not clear on what David was talking about. Isn't uploading to Stamporama's directory and linking to it the same as me uploading images to one of my servers?

Hi Don,
Uploading the extra images onto your server and linking to them will work fine. I often find though that loading them onto the Stamporama server allows the auction application to work quicker. It is just that some of the image hosting services tend to get very busy and so don't perform as quickly as the SOR server, which usually has a lighter load on it.
