I can't get into the new server site via my home Mac but can via my work PC. I tried the control shift trick but it did not work. Any thoughts as to why? I don't think the "boss" would like me doing all my stamp stuff at work :-)

re: Flushing DNS Cache to permit re-entry to SOR or any other site

It won't have anything to do with the Mac vs. PC. Rather, your are probably using different ISP's to connect to the Internet.

ISP's routinely cache the website IP address for faster page loading, but when the IP address changes, which is what happens when you move a site, it can cause problems for a while. You pretty much have to wait until the cache expires (varies depending on the ISP).

There is a chance it is your own computer doing the caching. In order to flush the DNS cache on a Windows machine, do the following:

Click on your "Start " button and do the following:

Start >> Run
then paste this into the "Open" box

ipconfig /flushdns

and click "OK"

The black box will appear and disappear. It won't be obvious it did anything.

Might work, might not.

On a Mac system, check out this page for instructions to do the same thing:
