,,,nothing else to say here....God bless you and your family, Luis....a very dark time in our world history...very difficult to dwell on, but we must so that we might prevent future atrocities such as this.
Luis - peace, my friend.

I always related Philately with CULTURE and KNOWLEDGE each stamp, marking, address, few times I have had the delight of reading about the PERSON related with a cover of 18 Oct.1923.
Bob relates the tragic end of an unsung hero.
Walter Cramer's life, actions and tragic end at the hands of a blood thirsty hiena named adolf hitler*.
I want to thank Bob for this teaching of something that, most of the time, passed just as "another". I was tempted to bid but is a subject I so much despise and HATE!
The why I feel like that is that my father had his family wiped by the assassin name hitler*.
I know the way those unsung heroes that were hung using piano wire in order to hang them.
Just imagine the agonizing turture these heroes were subject just if in some way they were "marked" by the gestapo* or some informer.
I lost three uncles when they were made prisoners in Albania where a large community of SEFARDI Jews reside in the last 3 or 4 centuries when they were ordered to gathe the most necessary posessions and piled to some black painted railroad car and taken, most of the time to a HORRIBLE death.
Sorry if I overextended it's a very hurtful wound I carry every day in my life. I went with my father to Albania and onlyt found some neighbors that survived horrible deaths.
I had the pleasure of walking the house where my father was born, in shambles but he was able to cut a piece of the original wall paper he remembered.
A few months later a war broke and I wonder if that house was just pieces of mortar and blocks.
Sorry, I have over extended but I know you will have the chance Jew or not to remember what I call "THE UNSUNG HEROES"
* before the words is that I can't force myself to write their names with a capital letter.
Love and Peace,
Luis M Mendes
