On the A27, the stamp design will run through the bottom perfs, meaning that the tab is included as part of the overall stamp design.
On the A32, the design stops before the perfs, meaning that the text on the tab is in a separate box that is not part of the stamp. Unless your A32 stamp is grossly off-center, the bottom of the stamp will stop well before the design gets to the perfs..

I'm just flabbergasted and hornswoggled by the inestimable quantity and quality of stamp expertise in our club. Stamp identification is simply amazing.

Rodolfo, thanks for the assist on that! I replied from work and can't dig up images to post from there.
Another way to usually tell the difference between the two stamp designs is that the background in the circle is heavier on A32.
Thank you Michael and Rodolfo your excellent explanations have enabled me to sor all my coat of arms stamps. I cannot get over how helpful it is to belong to Stamporama, I have had only good results since becoming a member. Thanks again. Tom C
I am not able to distinguish between the A27 and the A32 coat of arms stamps. This would be in the Scott catalog. The A27 is in yellow and not easy for these old eyes to see.
If the difference is in the label then it is of no help as my stamps do not have the laabels attatched.
Any help will be appreciated.
