Hi Nevin,
Do you have the URL for the site that you downloaded it from?
Regards ... Tim
I believe this is the URL
http://softwaretopic.informer.com/happy-collection-software/
@Michael, thanks for the URL. An interesting site that one. I wasn't sure if I was in the right place or not for a while.
@Nevin, what exactly are you trying to do? You can export the database to Excel files or can backup the database to it's own format database backup file. I'm not sure how old the version of Paradox was that it was developed in. Paradox has been around for a long time. If it was an older version it might have problems seeing your thumb drive. I would probably try doing it in two steps; export to an Excel file and then copy to the thumb drive. Does this help at all?
It looks like a nice collections program. It doesn't look a lot different to some that I have tried and I paid a lot more than you did.
Tim.
Well, I did alot of trial-and-error, but I have it figured out. Thanks guys.
And it really is pretty decent. The user has to do 100% of the input, but I don't mind such things--actually, I kind of prefer it. "Idle hands are the devil's workshop", or something like that.
NJW7,
So what was the solution that you can up with?
Regards ... TIm.
I don't know what the computer lingo is, but I had to go a kind of round-about way. Even though I had the database right on the screen, I couldn't transfer to a flash drive, but when I clicked on 'My Computer' and found the proper file and saved it from there--presto. I'm putting alot of hours into this, so I'm quite happy that I have it backed up.
Hi all
A couple of month ago, I downloaded a database software called 'HappyCollection'. I'm pretty happy with it, and being as it was free, it is certainly worth it. Anyways, I've put many stamps into it, but what I can't figure out is how to save it onto a thumb drive. None of the "usual" steps to saving files is working. It comes with very few instructions to speak of. Do any of you use this product, and can you help me out?
I'm not asking for a review of the product here--I fully realize it's not as good as others I have seen, but again, I liked the price, and I'm rather having a deal of fun in cataloging my stamps.
Hope someone can help.
