Alas, dear reader, despite several hours of internet trolling, I am stymied at fully identifying this Lithuania CINDERELLA:

Image Not Found

My command of the Lithuanian language is abysmally low but this cinderella appears to have been issued
by the Lithuanian Central Committee of the Americas (claimed, at the height of the Cold War, by the American CIA to be a "communist front") and costing 50¢ (Lithuanian tax). At least that's how I interpret it.

My other guess is that there may be similar Lithuania cinderellas with other denominations.Does any viewer have more information? Or can direct me to a reference or website with information?

Rodolfo:

Thank you for your reply. I've surfed through those websites you mentioned without any luck , but will return to them for a more detailed examination.

Time for you to "ramp up" and buy a bigger table for your stamp collection and your elbows.

Hello again friend!

I received information about the stamp: This is a Fiscal Stamp issued in U.S.A. for the Lithuan Fiscal Commitee with a tax of 0.50 cents. In the image appear Vytautas, he was a great Medieval hero. Soon I will receive more data about this stamp and confirmation (I hope).

Regards!

Rodolfo:

I'm simply astounded that you came up with this information, thank you very much.

I'd send a proper table for you to work on your stamp collection, but the shipping costs are stratospheric.

Again, I thank you for this information.

Hello friends!.

It is a pleasure to help

Complement about information:

The Lithuan publication "Comité Centralis" in U.S.A. issued a set of 4 Fiscal stamps ($0.50, $1.00, $2.00 and $3.00) in February 16, 1918, the reason was to help the Lithuan Economy.

Rodolfo:

I am a little late with my thank you and I apologize sincerely.

I'm indebted to you for this information and for scan of the (Lithuania) Comité Centralis
fiscal stamps. I do not believe I would have been capable of finding this information without
your help.

Keep those big fat elbows of yours well tucked in.

Appreciatively,

John Derry
