Interesting discovery (for me) while doing my daily work on my stamps, I learned that one Had its FDI in my home town of
San Clemente, Ca. back in 1970, with 1 missing

actually, Clayton, that would provide you with a great start to a new collection using these stamps: from the city, with FD cancellations, used to other places and with other rates. could be an interesting beginning.

sure, Clayton,

the first part was a joke, because obviously the stamp was not saved.

the second part is an invitation to create a collection based on that set of stamps: find examples used domestically, used internationally, used as makeup postage on large packages or paying additional services, like registration, airmail, etc. Get as many cachet makers as possible for that issue.

these are just thoughts brought on by your obvious excitement in finding a stamp associated with your city.
