Those stamps are beautiful! It's interesting collecting topicals. I collect WWII, science and medicine themes and it has never even occurred to me that an archaeology collection would be so beautiful! I guess when you get stuck on one thing, other ideas can escape you from time to time. My husband and I watch a lot of natgeo and history channel shows that include archaeology digs and I find your stamps really cool! Have you thought of making an exhibit for SOR?

Thanks Lisa, As a general hobby, since I retired, I have been an armchair Archaeologist for the past four years or so. A passion for Archaeology has always been (in the back of my mind). I focus mainly, now, on Biblical Archaeology. So this "brainstorm" just came to me recently.

This topical collection for me is extremely new, and I love it... Here is another page.

ps. I haven't been posting all at same time, 'cause not sure about rules about photos, so trying not to get at.

They are beautiful stamps! I'm sending you my email via private message. I'd love to see the whole thing! Of course, if you'd rather like to show them off to the whole club, that's great, too!

St Catherine's is one of my wife's favorite places, as she is an icon writer and this was one of the great repositories of Byzantine art.
