Welcome yobo! The scattergun approach is fun! I like to purchase box lots and see what I can find - it's like Christmas as a kid finding all that good stuff under the tree! You might also keep an eye on the auctions here. I have noticed some really nice early used Norway go for minimum bid.
Thanks, bobby1948.
Box lots are a lot of fun, but I try to limit myself at the moment until I have gone through what I have. As I said, I try...
I've bought a few things at the auction here, and will keep an eye out.
Hi Yobo,

Hello and welcome yobo.

Hi Yobo
My family left Norway for Canada in 1957. We lived just outside of Tonsberg in Norway. My sister Lee and I are both members here on Stamporama. I joined in January. It's a great site with lots of very friendly and helpful people.
So welcome.
Gro
Thanks to everyone for the welcome. Life got a bit busy, so almost haven't touched my stamps since I made the opening post. But now I will hopefully have some more time for stamps.
Welcome, yobo!
I also collect Norway and Iceland, as well as most of Scandinavia. Always good to have a new member around here--I really enjoy the discussions and the auctions!

Thanks for the welcome, Bob. I've actually been to Orlando once, and had to visit the hospital twice during the stay.
I have been around here for a while, but haven't introduced myself properly or participated on the forum here. I'm from a rather small island on the south west coast of Norway, near Stavanger. I'm sort of a general collector, and like the scattergun-approach as it is an excellent way to get to work with loads of stamps and covers from all over the world. The collections I am focusing on (or at least trying to) at the moment are Norway (used), Iceland and British Colonies and Commonwealth. And I am trying to get a cover from each day of 1979 (the year I was born).
