Oops, have a problem. My ninety year old eyes are not as good as I thought they were and have caused me a problem.
I have this $5.00 US Columbian stamp on piece with a nice clear cancel, March 24, 1893. The margins on the paper were wide, and I decided to trim them so the stamp would fit nicely in the album. While trimming, I did not realize that I cut off all the perforations on the left side. Now, my question is, should I paste the paper back on, or just leave it the way it is, so it looks like a straight edge?
