Anyhow, getting back to Australia's phosphor issues. The accumulation covers a number of decades and is very strong in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Two sets that are very strong in numbers are the Threatened Species of 1992 and the Australian Wildlife set of 1994. I have started to determine how many different phosphor issues there are in each issue of each set.
My wife bought me a Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth Catalogue of Australia. This catalogue gives me a lot of good information and I have spent countless hours in the dark with my black light and magnifying glass. (I am about to go blind.) I have found so many different variations and haven't even started to list them all.
My question is, does anyone collect or specialize in Australia's phosphor issues? I would love to have someone to share my finds with and to discuss various methods of displaying a collection of phosphor issues. Does anyone know of a catalogue that provides more informaion than Sanley Gibbons? (I guess that is two quesions.)
Oh, by the way, the accumulation of 160 pounds of stamps on paper filled over sixty (60) grocery bags and two large boxes.

Threatened Species has the following variations:
Water activated gum - cream paper
Water activated gum - white paper
Self-adhesive - Lithographed (perf 11.5, untagged)
Self-adhesive - Typographed (perf 11, untagged)
Self-adhesive - Lithographed (perf 11.5, broad phosphor band at right)
Self-adhesive - Lithographed (perf 11.5, Horizontal phosphor bands at top, bottom & on animal)
Scott and SG both does not list all these varieties 9as far as my 2009 catalogs are concerned) maybe Brusden White has a complete listing.

Thanks Dave and Saleem: I haven't done much in this area for awhile, I have been busy running down a few recent issues and have started a used Norfolk collection. I tried to talk myself out of this but the 'dark side' won.

Howdy! Two years ago I purchased 120 pounds of Australian stamps on paper. Then again this past year the same fellow delivered another forty pounds. I did sell off quite a few pounds to members of our local club. We all were dumbfounded by the size of the accumulation. My wife was the one who really pushed me into buying the lot. She is a gem.
