i live not far from a town called New Hamburg, about 90 miles north of New York City, on the Hudson River. Don't know if they have their own PO or not. And while I am keenly aware of postal history from the Hudson Valley, I don't ever recall seeing a postmark from New Hamburg.
welcome
David
Maybe it would be this: New Hamburg N.Y.

Welcome, Federico! It looks like you're already receiving some of that help you wanted. I hope you enjoy your time here!
Federico,
Io non vivo troppo lontano dal villaggio di Amburgo nel Michigan. Sarei felice di avere qualcosa annullato e inviato a voi.
48139 Hamburg, Michigan?
Since this is a new collection I would like to have a postmark each city.
I think it is right to put in the collection cancels old and modern.
So I'm fine.
We can also send them a private message, thank you.
Thanks
Federico
Welcome to Stamporama, Frederico, welcome.

Jim Forte lists about 75 post offices named Hamburg(h) in the U.S. -- past & present ...
There are also about 100 Berlins, including seven West Berlins but only three East Berlins
Federico: May I ask why you are interest in the city of Hamburg in Germania? As opposed to say Ravenna or Mantua two Italian settled towns which happpen to be in my county? Ravenna actually is our county seat.
John: Are you aware of any towns named Hamburg in Canada?
Arno
Hi Arno,
There is a New Hamburg in Ontario (near Kitchener-Waterloo).
Jacques
Arno, you've got some great questions ....
The site of Jim Forte know him well, I took him to my list.
He also has interesting pieces, but the method of payment I do not like very much and I have a problem.
I would say that I stop only to call Hamburg and New Hamburg city in the U.S., otherwise we expand too.
Regarding Hamburg.
I collect so specialized German stamps of inflation and even cancel it.
When I find a type of mint that I like to collect it in full. I do not buy just 1 piece, but all the ones that I find on the market.
Normally study collections, very advanced. It is not necessary that there are always expensive pieces, it is not a collection of Penny Black. I can spend € 2 or 500, it depends on many things.
In the various online research I found just this small collection:
"Hamburg liegt in Amerika" (I do not know if you can put the link).
Since I was looking for a different collection and fun (soft collection), this seems to me to do it for me. However, this is a coincidence .... maybe I found a collection of African stamps or a stamp collection Japanese ... sometimes you do not know where you're going.
This however is a collection lighter than German Inflation.
The collection already I take care of the inflation for 12 years, every day, and it is very difficult and complicated.
In Canada there is a New Hamburg, and also in Sweden, SudAfrika and Brazil.
Federico
Good morning everyone.
My name is Federico and I write from Italy.
They are collector for 15 years now and collections in a specialized way German stamps of Inflation (1922/1923, Postal History, cancellation, variety).
I have specialist collections especially for cancellations, which I love very much.
It is a collection of very challenging, and the different areas are many. I then concentrated over time on some more details, especially Stamps and some types of stamps.
Calcels Hamburg 8r, Hamburg 11f, Württemberg cancels, Michel 275, etc...
Can you see anything on my site.

http://www.mrinfla.it/infla/?cat=16
But I wanted some time to start a collection lighter and less demanding, something of a thematic nature.
By coincidence, in my research on the web, I found a small collection called "Hamburg liegt in Amerika".
http://www.mrinfla.it/infla/?cat=9
These are the places called Hamburg in the United States.
I've already bought a few pieces, but I will certainly need your help.
I found a list with all the places called Hamburg and New Hamburg in the U.S., and the period in which they had a post office.
I must therefore begin to ask some questions, such as various types of cancellations, the various postal rates.
Seeking postal documents, and even postcards, the important thing is the stamp. I'll give you an overview in English, and then I will certainly be a little 'help.
Sorry for my bad english
Thanks
Federico
