Having trouble identifying recent Danish stamps that are appearing as both Self-Adhesive Die Cut & Serpentine Die-Cut Booklet Stamps in the Scott catalogue listings.

Here are five examples;

Image Not Found Scott #1536 or #1538 - Issued May 4, 2011

Image Not Found Scott #1525 or #1527 - Issued March 23, 2011

Image Not Found Scott #1526 or #1528 - Issued March 23, 2011

Image Not Found
Scott #1510 (Die Cut S/A) & #1514 (Serpentine Die Cut Booklet) - BUT I don't know which is which.

Can anyone help me identify the difference between the two?

Thanks,
Liz Jones

My Scott catalog is too old to show these issues. So I cannot ID by catalog number for you, but...

The serpentine die cuts are the 1st stamp (8k Carsten Niebuhr) and 4th stamp (used 5.50k).

I should have explained. The serpentine die cuts for these issues will have noticeably rounded teeth tips, while the normal die-cuts have relatively flat teeth tips.

Also, think of the word serpentine, as in snake-like. The serpentine diecuts are wavy, with peaks and valleys that are more-or-less symettrical, rather than perf-like with round holes and flat peaks.
