The stamp pictured is Scott #914
Brad, I see where the confusion arose, with 917 not pictured, but being described as "Face in heart." What I find myself doing frequently, to ensure I have ID'd a stamp correctly, is to go to a stamp selling site and search for the stamp I believe I have, and verify it against the stamps shown (and then hope that EVERY seller didn't get it wrong, also ).
Cheers,
Tedski

Hi, I'm Brad (stampman27's son) I am helping dad out while he is recovering. I can find the Scott's cat. with Ireland in it and there seems to be confusion about a stamp he sold. The stamp was #917 but the buyer says it's not. thanks for any help. Brad.
