That's funny, because I started a small collection of modern postally used covers from there for that same reason.

Here is my topical collection of "Postally Used Covers from Small African Nations."

This is Scott #1264, the high value from the 2003 set of definitives (#1255-64).
Image Not Found

Scott #920, from the 1991-93 definitives set (#911-922), and #952, from the 1992 Christmas issue (#951-53).
Image Not Found

Scott #962, from the 1993 set (#962-63) issued for the 1994 soccer World Cup. The pink/rose/salmon/shrimp/buble-gum colored envelope and "Wahlbrief" denotes this as a cover to be used for mail-in ballots by absentee voters.

But I have to admit that the modern cover from Africa I like best is this one, sent from Rwanda on 17th January 1993 to a friend who paid for the education of a Rwandese child. This was the last letter she received before the outbreak of the civil war. She never heard from the child since, pressumed to be dead Crying

It i nice to see that some of the stamps they issue were actually available for general postage use.
